In case we talk about the famous “Smolensk Confects”. It can be easily explained: our Confects are sugar filled fruits which are cooked according to the recipe of the XVIIIth century.

They were put on the table of Empress Catherine II, Emperors Paul I and Alexander I. Smolensk delicacy was widely known all over the world, the confects were presented at the World Exhibitions in London (1851) and Paris (1867), in Moscow (1882) where they were awarded with prizes for the originality of taste. Smolensk confects were an important attribute of all holiday feasts. Today, having tasted the old delicacy, we offer you to touch the delicious history of Russia!
